Re: Completion of Roof Extension Project
Aloha Fellow Homeowner,
We are pleased to announce that the TRELLIS REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT PROJECT was completed in its entirety on Friday, June 22. The Contractor completed the individual activities well within the stipulated time frame and could have completed the project on the scheduled completion date had we not experienced significant periods of rain preventing the project from starting on the scheduled date. We are very pleased with the Contractor, Landmark Builders, who performed the work in a competent, professional, and cooperative manner. Additionally, the work was performed within the initial contract amount – NO CHANGE ORDERS!
I would like to express my appreciation to Patrick and his staff for performing their work on this project in a timely manner which prevented any delays to the Contractor in gaining access to their work areas. Patrick’s communication with the rental agents regarding Construction activities was excellent and kept complaints to a minimum.
My sincere thanks to all Owners and Agents for your patience and cooperation during the construction period. We now have a building facade with a life expectancy of 30-40 years which will not require the extreme level of maintenance as that experienced with the exposed wood trellises.
Our staff will be repairing the first-floor columns where the trellises were removed and installing the plant hangers over the next several weeks. There should be no disruption to Owners or guests while this work is being performed.
A project that finishes within the scheduled time frame and budget is a rare commodity in Hawaii–it is nice to have experienced one of them.
